If you are looking for information about me, don’t look here! Instead, check out my bio.
If you’ve read my bio, then you know that, for the last few years, my attention has been focused away from the saxophone. I’ve created this blog to keep track of my journey rediscovering the saxophone and performance. Unlike most of the things I do in life, I’m trying to deliberately NOT set any goals for this blog, opting instead to treat it like, well, a BLOG! I do hope that, in the process, I am able to share some of my expertise, whether that happens to involve playing the saxophone, directing a small church choir, or dealing with all the ‘fun’ involved in living in a 150 year old ‘fixer-upper’ home.
I also have a decidedly self-serving goal of providing some form of structure to my “rehab” program. One of the most challenging things I have been dealing with in these first few weeks of returning to performing is finding a focus. I am hoping that, by writing about the challenges I am facing, I can structure what I am trying to accomplish.
